Yi-Ching for iOS
Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Yi-Ching handles information when you use the iOS app. Yi-Ching does not require an account, name, email address, contacts, precise location, photos, or payment information.
Information we collect
- App content: questions you submit, generated readings, conversation history, and cast details.
- Identifiers and usage data: a random installation identifier, app version, session activity, and timestamps.
- Diagnostics and security data: request identifiers, provider errors, IP addresses used for security and rate limiting, and app-attestation data when enabled.
Although registration is not required, information you write in a question may identify you. Do not submit names, contact details, confidential information, or sensitive personal data.
How we use information
- Generate readings and preserve context for follow-up questions.
- Operate, secure, support, and troubleshoot the app.
- Prevent misuse and enforce service limits.
- Evaluate, train, and improve models and future readings.
Model training
Submitted questions and generated responses may be used to train, evaluate, and improve Yi-Ching. Completed readings are currently eligible for this use, and there is no per-reading opt-out. We use automated redaction for some common identifiers, but it cannot detect every name, address, identifier, or sensitive detail.
Sharing
We share prompts and relevant conversation context with the model provider used to generate a response. Hosting and infrastructure providers may also process data to operate the service. These providers process information under their applicable terms and agreements. Yi-Ching does not include advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs, and we do not share data for targeted advertising.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide, secure, and improve Yi-Ching, or to meet legal obligations. You can delete individual conversations using available app controls. You may also request help deleting the anonymous app installation and its associated sessions, conversations, and readings by emailing support@beem.im.
Deletion removes records from the active application database. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or security logs, and deletion may not remove data already processed by a model provider, included in an earlier training dataset, or learned by a model.
Your choices
You may avoid submitting personal information, delete available app data, or stop using Yi-Ching. Because the app is anonymous, reinstalling it or losing its local credentials may prevent access to earlier data. Contact support if you need help with a privacy or deletion request.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Yi-Ching changes. The effective date above will be revised when a new version is published.
